Nobles,

I want to thank each of you for having confidence in me and electing me as Potentate of Zem Zem Shriners for 2012; I am looking forward to the year.

I want to thank Ill. Sir Russell McKinsey for a successful 2011 and I think I speak for the entire divan by wishing him much success in his future endeavors in Freemasonry. Also, I want to extend a special thank you to his Lady, Barb, for her successful hospital project and her gracious hospitality.

Your Divan asks that each of the units please try to attend each of the Point Function parades this year. If only one or two members of the unit are available to parade on a certain day, please attend. The crowd appreciates all our participation. Please keep in mind the purpose of parading is to bring attention to who Shriners are and what we do through our hospital system. With these thoughts in mind, don’t forget about the Clubs and Units meeting on Saturday, February 4, 2012. The meeting will be held at Mercer County Shrine Club – coffee/donuts at 9:30 a.m., the meeting will start at 10:00 a.m. with lunch to follow.

In closing, membership is what will keep us alive. Your 2012 Membership Committee has some new thoughts/ideas; but they will need all of our assistance to carry through and make this a successful year.

If any of you have a question or concern, please feel free to call me. Eileen and I are excited about 2012; but keep in mind, “WE ALWAYS HAVE TIME FOR KIDS”.
